This past
weekend was marked by the yearly event my dd school host – A Silent Auction. Each
year we think about going. This year we even bought tickets and had childcare
set up. So did we go? The answer is Nope.
To be
honest I really never want to go to events like this. My dh on the other hand
wanted to go and I was willing to give it a go. As the time ticked toward the auction on Saturday I began dreading
going. I started trying to come up with an excuse to beg out of the event. Finally, when 5:30pm rolled around I was resigned
that I needed to put my big girl undies on and suck it up and go. That's when our ds
came down with a fever.
Now I would
never wish for my ds to be sick, but I will admit that I was super jazzed not to
go!
